Young the Giant - Cough Syrup
It’s been on repeat in my head ever since it played at OVT this morning.
So for the past couple of times that I’ve been home, I’ve always had the thought in the back of my head that I’d be back home in two weeks. After Thanksgiving break ended, “Oh don’t worry, I’ll be back in two weeks!”. After winter break, it was the same, but after this last weekend, I don’t even know the next time I’m coming back. I mean, which is fine, cause I love it here in San Diego, but man especially since it was Chinese New Year this last weekend and after getting to see the whole family, it just gets so comfortable. In the midst of seeing everyone in the family and enjoying their company and omfg the food, it’s all so familiar and I’m grateful for having such a large and happy family, and I don’t know, seeing everyone’s just a reminder of everything left back at home and not so much in a bad way, but in a I need to remember that I can’t just go off to the tip of the California sock for nothing. Ah, when I’m here, I miss home, when I’m at home, I miss SD. I think I was just never all too good at changing environments, so much for survival of the fittest.
NOOOOO, karma for not working on chem hw yesterday night. Pourquoi ARIS POURQUOI? Why couldn’t they have done maintenance on some random weekday instead of Chinese new year weekend? Pobre, lowkey about to bring Darwin to family dinner. /nofun.
